About Us
The New York Civic Engagement Table (NYCET) supports a diverse group of 60 community-based organizations in regions across New York State committed to creating a more just and democratic world through year-round civic engagement. The Table provides technical tools, training, and collaboration that lead to long-term leadership development and deep empowerment of communities. Our efforts are focused on Access – e.g. Voting rights, voter protection so that people can participate; Engagement – e.g. GOTV; Education and Advocacy so that people do participate; and Representation – e.g. Census and Redistricting so that people’s power is not distorted when they participate.
NYCET plays a crucial role as the strategic and shared resources hub. With a commitment to Integrated Voter Engagement – the seamless and continuous coordination of electoral, base-building, and issue advocacy strategies – our partner organizations produce lifelong voters, develop leaders, and win on issues that affect impacted communities.
