Books For a Better Future is an online book club that aims to empower and inspire young people to take action on sustainability issues. You'll get a chance to ask questions from world-renowned experts on relevant sustainability issues. You'll also get actionable advice about what you can do to better our future.

OUR INAUGURAL AUTHOR: Larissa Zimberoff

Larissa Zimberoff is a freelance journalist and author covering the intersection of food and technology. Her new book, "Technically Food: Inside Silicon Valley's Mission to Change What We Eat," covers how what we eat is rapidly changing and the tech startups behind it. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Atlantic, Wired, and more. After working in high tech for a decade, she earned her MFA from The New School in New York city. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and will gamely try any new food.

OUR FIRST BOOK: "Technically Food: Inside Silicon Valley's Mission to Change What We Eat"

TECHNICALLY FOOD examines the trade-offs of replacing real food with technology-driven approximations. Chapters go into detail about algae, fungi, pea protein, cultured milk & eggs, upcycled foods, plant-based burgers, vertical farms, cultured meat, and marketing methods.
