What is WorkFairly’s Women in Tech Sales Program?

The WorkFairly – Advancing Women in Tech Sales program is a 14-week intensive learning program for women who are looking to pursue a career in tech sales or pivot into tech sales. Students from Ontario and British Columbia learn B2B Tech sales training and pre-employment skills to prepare for exciting careers in tech sales.

In collaboration with our training partners, over the course of the 14 weeks, participants receive facilitator-led training, online workshops, micro credentials such as Salesforce and AWS, present their capstone projects, and more!

Cohort program dates were as follows:

  • August 2, 2022
  • September 26, 2022
  • November 28, 2022
  • January 30, 2023
  • March 27, 2023

What will Participants learn?

  • Understanding of the end-to-end B2B SaaS tech sales process
  • B2b SaaS tech such as SEMRush and Martech Stacks
  • Cloud services such as Salesforce and AWS
  • How to develop effective brand & value proposition
  • Lead generation and management
  • Business casing & sales communication
  • Building relationships with clients through consultative selling
  • Presentation skills - including how to sell virtually
  • Handling objections
  • How to negotiate & close deals
  • How to prepare for an interview and get hired

Who are the Participants?

Each cohort consists of up to 30 women from a range of professional, educational, and personal backgrounds. Participants are vetted and carefully selected for the program based on the following:

  • Personality fit
  • Drive to pursue or advance a career in tech sales
  • Past sales, customer service, or tech-related experience
  • Communication skills
  • Aptitude for technology and adapting to new situations
