The Opportunity

JUST Capital is seeking an experienced Manager, Data Analytics, to lead the execution and delivery of analytics on JUST Capital’s corporate data, including matters relating to fair treatment of employees, diversity, equity, and inclusion, philanthropic giving, environmental impact, and more. JUST Capital’s analytics team drives forward the mission, strategy, and deliverables of the organization by producing timely, insightful, and client-ready analytics for our media partners by working closely with the research and marketing teams.

The successful candidate for this role will have fundamental research and data analytics expertise along with technical rigor, entrepreneurial creativity, and problem solving skills. The Manager, Data Analytics will report to the Director of ESG Metrics and Analytics.


The key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Work closely with the Director of ESG Metrics and Analytics, Senior Director of Research, Head of Research, and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer to build out an analytics and reporting strategy and workstream around standardized and customized analytics..
  • Build and maintain an internal operational and technical framework for standardized analytics including summary analyses and up-to-date dashboards.
  • Write and review code related to APIs and the analysis and delivery of standardized analytics, typically univariate and bi-variate analysis of company performance from proprietary databases at JUST Capital.
  • Establish and execute on a collaborative process to respond to custom, time-sensitive analysis requests from our internal teams and media partners.
  • Collaborate across research, technology, data, investor, corporate engagement, and marketing teams to identify and perfect data stories that are aligned with our mission and relevant to our audiences.
  • Perform timely analytics involving querying, cleaning, aggregating, and reporting JUST Capital data according to specified requirements and media partner requests.
  • Establish and execute on a process of data quality assurance and consistent refreshing
  • Develop and manage relationships with external partners who are recipients of our data and insights.



Research and Technical Experience

  • Familiarity and experience conducting research and analysis on publicly-listed corporations and/or policy analysis on corporate policies, practices, or behaviors related using performance data on Environmental, Social, and Governance issues.
  • Ability to produce descriptive and analytical statistics, mainly mainly uni- and bi-variate analysis and with limited multivariate modeling, leveraging tools like SQL, R, or Python.
  • Experience with data management, data infrastructure, API functionality, various data file formats, and data conversion.
  • Proven ability to work with technology infrastructure to create research products based on data, analyses, and insights.
  • Ability to prepare high quality presentations for media audiences based on data analysis and research insights.

Educational and Professional Background

  • 3+ years of professional experience working with data, databases, analytics tools, and related client-ready deliverables
  • An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business, social science, statistics or other relevant field is required
