We’re on a mission to electrify cars by building the next generation of energy storage technology! As a member of the metrology team at QuantumScape, you will develop new image processing pipelines, measurement algorithms, and data portals crucial to both R&D and Manufacturing. What you will do:
Develop software & infrastructure to process 100s of GBs of raw measurement data quickly and reliably.
Design, develop, and deploy data processing software to extract accurate and useful metrics captured by a rapidly growing fleet of high performance inspection systems.
Collaborate in multi-functional teams to find innovative solutions to problems and integrate solutions.
Develop creative, easy to use web applications that enable colleagues to work more efficiently and to better understand their data.
Follow internal code-writing, documentation, and quality assurance practices.
 
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Proficiency in Python and its scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, etc.)
Proven track record of applying solid design practices and building robust software solutions
Enjoy working in a multifaceted, fast paced, technically-challenging environment
Can clearly communicate technical ideas and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team
Share a passion for the QuantumScape mission
Strong background in software documentation and version control.
 
Minimum requirements:
BS in Computer Science or related field.
2 years of professional experience writing software.
 
Highly desired:
Past Experience with image processing and python image processing libraries (OpenCV or Scikit-image).
Experience with data processing in a manufacturing or materials research setting.
Prior exposure to machine learning concepts
Experience with Typescript, and modern JavaScript frameworks
