The Role 

The Tech Coalition is seeking a Program Operations Specialist to support the Tech Innovation Lead in the delivery of the TC’s next generation of programs, products, and services that will enhance the global tech industry’s efforts to eradicate online child sexual exploitation and abuse.

In this critical role, the Program Operations Specialist will play a crucial part in establishing and refining policies and processes for Lantern, an innovative program designed for the cross-industry sharing of threat intelligence. The selected candidate will be deeply involved in the strategic planning and execution of policies, ensuring they are robust, actionable, and uphold human rights standards. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Program execution: Collaborate with the Tech Innovation Lead to deliver and refine key program deliverables, ensuring they contribute to a measurable increase in the Tech Coalition's impact across the industry.
  • Policy design and management: Define project requirements, draft related policies, and implement processes that uphold program design. 
  • Communication and reporting: Maintain clear channels of communication, updating TC members and stakeholders on project progress, as well as weekly dissemination of information to companies about risks related to child safety.
    • Quality assurance: Implement and refine a robust quality assurance protocol that aligns with program objectives. 
  • Data analysis: Develop and maintain detailed reports and visualizations that communicate complex data clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Human rights implementation: Develop, with the assistance of legal and human rights specialists, ethical oversight procedures for program management that uphold human rights standards.

 

Qualifications:

An ideal candidate will have strong project management and customer service skills. Effective communication and the ability to respond to evolving priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment are also crucial. Additional qualifications include:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in technical program support in tech, nonprofit, or related industry;
  • Proven track record of defining, coordinating, and delivering projects from start to finish on time and in budget. 
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex information effectively and professionally to stakeholders with varying levels of technical understanding. 
  • Strong analytical skills, including robust problem-solving, evidence-based critical thinking, and the ability to deliver data-driven insights or solutions. 
  • Team player comfortable working in a lean, dynamic organization with shifting priorities. 
  • An interest in child safety, digital rights, and privacy concerning combatting online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA).
  • Experience working with Excel and Google Workspace products. 

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Experience with SQL, QuickSight, and data analytics. 
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana or Confluence.
  • Previous experience in or knowledge of Trust and Safety. 

Location: Remote (US-based) 

Travel: Occasional travel required
