The Opportunity
As a fully remote Staff Designer you will be responsible for steering the strategic direction of our design decisions of our Staffing initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional peers and stakeholders: Design, Research Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Care Operations, to identify and build services that help improve the day to day lives of clients and care professionals.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with peers and cross-disciplinary team members across the company to understand and design features from concept to launch for the staffing domain
- Deeply understand and solve complex problems for our caregivers, customers, partners, and internal teams
- Design simple, easy-to-use experiences, and interfaces that meet domain needs in support of business goals
- Think through high-level product direction and low-level user details
- Engage with research and data peers to inform your design and systems thinking
- Work with the internal Care team to develop deep knowledge of our operations
- Provide and seek feedback from your creative and engineering peers to continuously push the bar for quality

What you bring to the role to be successful:
- Educational background in Design, Information Architecture, Service Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency at leading end-to-end design on key workflows for digital features
- Ability to guide teams in making complex design and business trade-off decisions
- Advanced skills in a broad range of design and research to develop exceptional user experiences
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to experience design challenges
- Proven ability to work closely with Product and Engineering teams to enhance service experiences while effectively engaging various stakeholders.
- Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills that connect human narratives to evidence-based strategies.
- Self-starter who iterates processes based on organizational growth, actively seeking insights and feedback to improve work.
- Experience in mentoring peers across disciplines, with a commitment to staying current on design best practices and a humility to learn from others.

Nice to Have Qualifications
- A portfolio of design work that demonstrates experience designing and shipping complex products that customers love
- Experience and/or interest in working for a company that is scaling in maturity
- Experience using Systems Thinking
- Knowledge of Behavioral Science frameworks
- Experience designing logistics-based webtools and/or mobile apps

Our range reflects the hiring range for this position. We use national average to determine pay as we are a remote first company. Individual pay is based on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, experience, education, and training.
Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program. Honor offers equity and 401K with up to a 4% match. We provide medical, dental and vision coverage including zero cost plans for employees. Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance are fully employer paid with a voluntary additional Life Insurance option. What’s next?
Honor is remote friendly! We're hiring across the U.S., with an entirely virtual interview and onboarding process. Most of our positions are remote/work from home and do not require permanent relocation. As conditions allow, we have office space for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco Bay Area, CA, Austin, TX, and Omaha, NE hubs.
