  • Design and implement data warehouse architectures and data pipelines
  • Build and maintain dbt-based analytics transformation pipelines
  • Contribute to open-source projects and maintain public repositories
  • Collaborate with Jarvus’s lead data engineer and data and analytics engineers assigned to other projects to evolve a cohesive set of practices across transit and other data projects
  • Help shape the future of transit data infrastructure

What You Bring

  • Comfort being client-facing in multi-stakeholder environments and representing both your team and technical considerations to mixed audiences
  • Deep expertise in modern serverless data warehouse / data lakehouse architectures
  • Strong experience with DAG-based data orchestration in Python
  • Proven track record building and maintaining dbt-based analytics transformation pipelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience documenting complex technical solutions and approaches
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and upskill other engineers
  • Track record of improving developer experience through tooling and automation
  • Passion for applying technical skills to improve public services

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Dagster
  • Experience maintaining public repositories and contributing to open source
  • Background working with geographic or transportation data
  • Familiarity with transit agency operations and systems
  • Previous experience working with public sector clients
