About This Position

As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in delivering superior next-generation experiences for our core membership experience. You have a passion for product management, emerging technology, fintech, analytics and delighting the user throughout the entire customer experience.

In this role, you will support products from the initial discovery phase through the final delivery phase in an innovative and flexible way. We follow agile methodologies and day-to-day you will work closely with engineering, product design, and marketing to craft simple and impactful website and mobile experiences.

You must be a strategic thinker and have strong communication skills, and need to be able to communicate requirements to your team in a clear and concise way. You are a team player and work well with others. This is a remote position. 


Responsibilities

You will:

  • Curate the roadmap for Ellevest’s core product – with a focus on our investing offering – launch features and functionality that enhance the user’s membership experience
  • Partner closely with the Director of Product in building the strategy and roadmap for yet-to-be developed products/offerings that enhance the user’s experience and make them long-time members
  • Exercise product ownership: write and prioritize user stories; groom product backlog, triage and prioritize; coordinate a cross-functional team; define scope of development for new product features and on-going feature enhancements 
  • Work collaboratively with Design, Engineering, Data & Analytics and others to prioritize features and ship products across the full product lifecycle (from idea, research, design, specification, metrics definition, development, launch and interaction)
  • Cultivate an intimate understanding of the client/target audience for your product area
  • Build and maintain a relationship with the Client Experience (CX) team, as they are first in line for understanding and interacting with our end users
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on new product/platform launches to ensure the cohesiveness of the overall user experience
  • Apply an analytical mindset in order to break down complex problems and effectively use data and analytics layered against high-quality user research to inform the direction of the product
  • Run various types of research (market insights, industry trends; client feedback, user research, etc.) and business analysis to assess opportunities and risks


Requirements

You have:

  • 3+ years of consumer-facing product management experience. Experience working in fintech is a plus
  • A proven track record of launching and iterating on successful products
  • Ability to empathize with the member at all times and find ways to delight the user throughout the entire experience
  • An interest in investing, growing an individual's wealth, tracking progress, and breaking down complex information into digestible bite-sized bits
  • A goal-oriented mindset and eagerness to execute
  • A keen ability to understand and articulate priorities and make the right trade offs when necessary
  • Ability to identify a problem and determine potential solutions that you can bring to your team or manager
  • Excellent writing, communication, organizational and time management skills
