We’ve honed a modern, agile, user-centered approach that elevates human needs through thoughtfully-designed systems and products.

From articulating the unique needs of American Indian and Alaska Native patients through service blueprints that inform future health IT investments to improving the way governments consume COVID-19 mobility data through a more accessible and user-friendly tool, we’re dedicated to reshaping the way communities access and utilize technology products. Together.

Our cross-functional team works closely with each other and with our government, nonprofit, and commercial partners to research, design, and build better products and services.

Company Background

Founded in 2017, Coforma is owned by Eduardo Ortiz, CEO. We employ more than 160 talented creators and business operations leaders. Our leadership has decades of experience in transforming and modernizing government digital services from a civic service mindset, and a strong record of developing innovative technology solutions for government, enterprise, and nonprofits.

Coforma is a minority-owned small business with a workforce that intentionally employs Veterans. The company holds a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business certification from the Department of Veteran Affairs and an 8(a) certification from the Small Business Administration. To date, we've helped improve access to quality healthcare, connected families in crisis at the US border, researched and implemented improvements to Veteran care, provided greater access to civic tools, used technology to tell previously untold stories, and more.

Civic Service

Many of our staff have worked across federal, state, and even local government agencies. As a company, Coforma co-founded the Digital Services Coalition, a collective of technology and design firms dedicated to bringing commercial digital service innovations to government. We value justice and equity, democratic institutions, accessibility, and accountability.

Our team’s varied experience in the private sector informs the digital modernization we’re helping build with our government partners at the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, among others. Leave Coverage

Coforma provides support for a variety of leave types for employees, including: paid parental, sick, military, and bereavement leaves.

Medical Coverage

We offer multiple medical insurance plans for employees, paying 100% of their premium. We cover 50% of premiums for spouses, domestic partners, and other qualifying dependents, including same-gender family dynamics.

Dental and Vision Coverage

We cover 100% of the premium on dental and vision insurance for employees and 50% for spouses, domestic partners, and child(ren).

401k Plan with Match

We match up to 4% of the employee's salary in a Safe Harbor 401k Plan, allow immediate vesting, and also provide both Roth options.

Pre-Tax Spending Accounts

Pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA), FSA, and Dependent FSA account options are available for employees, spouses, domestic partners, child(ren) and qualifying elderly dependents.

Internet and Phone Stipend

Coforma provides an internet and phone stipend to employees to help maintain a stable and professional remote work environment.

Home Office Stipend

We provide a home office stipend to full-time employees to help each individual build and sustain a healthy remote work environment that allows them to do their best work.
