Founded in 2016, the Hub is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that envisions a news media rooted in free access, trust, and community investment. We've helped newsrooms raise over $77 million in volunteer contributions without a paywall.

Many members of our team come from some of the country's leading online newsrooms, and the best practices that anchor our services are rooted in experience. We provide the tech and talent infrastructure newsrooms need to develop predictable revenue through voluntary contributions made directly by their readers.
