About Us

Imagine a society where all workers have access to the care they need and deserve—a society where every employee’s health and well-being is prioritized. By engaging with employers across the country, we are making this a reality by creating new business norms that protect, support, and uplift the reproductive and maternal health (RMH) benefits of all workers. We believe that when employees are valued and have the ability to take care of themselves and their families, both workers and workplaces thrive. 

We equip employers with the benchmarks and resources needed to become leading providers of reproductive and maternal health (RMH) benefits for their employees.  Since most Americans get their health benefits through their jobs, we provide employers with the tools, support, and recognition to provide best-in-class RMH benefits for all workers. As a nonprofit organization, our independent research and rigorous methodology ensure our tools and resources are unbiased, transparent, and credible. Through our work, we are building a business community that understands the value of RMH benefits and is committed to ensuring access for workers at every level.

We believe reproductive and maternal health (RMH) care is a basic human right. We are committed to protecting and supporting RMH by empowering employers to provide access to comprehensive and affordable RMH benefits for all workers and their families. 

 

Our approach is rooted in equity and the belief that all workers—regardless of their income level, job-status, geography, or identity—must have access to comprehensive RMH benefits.  This commitment to equity informs all aspects of our work and is a foundational element of our standard. 

 

We are setting the standard and providing guidance on what best-in-class reproductive and maternal health (RMH) benefits look like for all employers. Whatever standard of RMH benefits a company currently offers, we can help by providing independent, data-based resources that clarify the ever-evolving RMH benefits landscape and equip employers with the tools to become leaders in advancing RMH benefits in their workplaces.

 

We base the foundation of our work on the understanding that RMH benefits are valued by employees, and that providing comprehensive benefits is valuable for employers. In other words, there is a strong business imperative for employers to provide best-in-class RMH benefits because doing so gives them a competitive advantage in employee recruitment, retention, and satisfaction.  In practice, we support this ideal by employing thoroughly researched methods and data-driven resources that provide the guidance employers need to make the case for comprehensive RMH benefits.

We are future-focused and will continue innovating our products to ensure employers are incentivized to advance the reproductive and maternal health (RMH) benefits they offer. Creating access to comprehensive RMH benefits at work is an evolving process that demands agility, creativity, and collaboration. We are committed to refining our products and services as the landscape shifts to ensure we are providing employers with the depth and breadth of resources required to support their employees across a diverse range of lived experiences.
