One in four Americans don’t refill the prescriptions they need to stay healthy due to cost. At the same time, up to $11 billion in unopened, unexpired medicine goes to waste every year. This is a huge injustice.
Incubated at Stanford University, SIRUM leverages the power of technology to save medicine to save lives. As the nation’s largest redistributor of surplus medicine, we help organizations like health facilities and pharmacies to donate their unused medicine and get it to where it’s needed most, via a network of community partners who dispense to patients.

Our impact
We’ve already helped 150,000+ uninsured and underinsured patients get access to life-saving medicine – and we’re just getting started. Our vision is to get nearly $1 billion of medicine to 1 million patients over the next five years.
