26/11 – Cyber Security, Teacher Skills Development

A 30-minute workshop for Careers TLR holders: a ready-to-teach KS3 cyber security lesson using micro:bits. No coding experience needed.

A 30-minute online workshop for anyone with a Careers TLR, whether or not you teach computing.

We’ll walk you through a ready-to-teach KS3 lesson where pupils crack a secret code by hand, then send encrypted micro:bit radio messages to protect Zawadi the rhino from poachers. No coding experience needed.

You’ll see how it maps to the Gatsby Benchmarks and get a ready-made form that captures pupils’ exploration of local cyber security careers, building evidence towards TechFirst Schools accreditation.

Suitable for non-specialists and computing teachers alike.
