Description

Join us for our webinar as discuss accessibility schemes to help you to enjoy the things you love.

Join us as we explore how Access Cards and related support schemes help improve accessibility and create more inclusive experiences. We’ll break down what the Access Card is, how it works, and how it can be used to clearly communicate access requirements across a range of settings.

We’ll be joined by Louise, our volunteer Living Well Facilitator. Louise is passionate about advocating for accessibility spaces and schemes to ensure that people living with MS can continue to enjoy the things they love. Lousie has used access schemes to help her go to the theatre and music gigs. She’ll be sharing her tips and experiences.

In this webinar we will cover:

  • Access schemes for accessibility
  • Access Card, ATG Ticket scheme and CEA Card
  • Tips for making days out more accessible

This webinar is ideal for anyone looking to better understand accessibility support, access schemes, and how these tools can remove barriers and help you to enjoy the things you love.

Our webinars offer a safe, fact-based space that you can attend anonymously. These events are for anyone affected by MS, whether you are living with MS, a friend, family member, carer, or colleague of someone living with MS or a healthcare professional. Our webinars are recorded, and we send a recording following the event to all those who register.

What will I need to take part?

All you need to join in is a laptop/tablet/phone/computer with a stable internet connection to use Zoom, the video meeting software that we use.

How do I join the webinar?

Before the event, you'll receive emails from the LivingWell team and Eventbrite, which will have the link to the webinar. You can follow this link when the webinar is due to start. Alternatively, you can access it through your Eventbrite account.

When I join the webinar, can other people see or hear me?

No, you can’t be seen or heard by other participants.

Can I ask questions?

Yes, you’ll be able to ask questions when you register, but also during the event via the Q&A typed chat function. Please note we can’t respond to or offer advice on questions about your specific circumstances or anything relating to your own personal health.

What if I haven’t been sent the link?

Reminder emails are sent to everyone who completes the registration form on Eventbrite and books a place, so please enter your email address carefully when registering. The email we send might go into your spam or junk folder, so please check before the sessions start that you can find it. Alternatively, you can access the link by logging into your Eventbrite account.

What should I do if I can no longer attend?

Don't worry if you can't make it on the night. If you've registered, you'll get a recording of the webinar to watch in your own time.
