The vast amount of energy required to run and scale AI models has already begun to impact companies’ pledges of environmental sustainability and goals of carbon neutrality. What is the impact of AI on energy consumption and water use? What are the potential conflicts that might come out of widespread AI adoption, at a community scale, national, or international scale? How does this change when individuals might choose to use or not use AI?
