“AI in HR”: responsible use of technology in employment metrics

Description

In this CIPD session, Dr Neil McBride, Vincent Bryce and Mayen Cunden will update us on their current research findings relating to the use of People Analytics and AI in HR. They will summarise recent CIPD guidance on AI in HR and responsible use of technology. They are interested in your responses. They want to understand your experiences about how people analytics are changing HR practice, what effect Covid-19 had on your use of technology and whether you feel empowered to adopt analytics and AI technologies. Having listened to your practical experiences at work, they want to invite you to take part in their research. Participants will receive an early copy of their report on their current studies.

Attenders will gain takeaway tips during this CPD session for improving their principles led, evidence based and outcomes driven activities. No recording will be made.

This evening’s workshop features as a part of CIPD Continuing Professional Development because participants will:

  • learn about the findings of recent and ongoing studies into AI in HR carried out by independent researchers and by the CIPD, how they are relevant to organisations and HR functions considering wider use of these technologies
  • understand the potential these technologies may have for the HR function with key considerations for their use, enabling you to give a balanced and better informed view on their potential application in your organisation
  • hear about the experiences, challenges and successes other practitioners have had in relation to the implementation of AI and people analytics in their organisations
  • understand how AI technologies may be relevant to your organisation’s business and people strategy in relation to both risks and opportunities, and the support senior managers and line managers may need to apply these technologies effectively and appropriately in order to improve organisational performance
