A free, volunteer-led, community-based programming class for young people! (ages 6 to 14)
About this event
Join us for a monthly VIRTUAL coding class for kids!
We believe that a foundational knowledge of technology, including coding and engineering, are critical for all students moving forward in their academic careers. It is our intention to facilitate the fundamental understanding of these theories and methods in order to provide students with the necessary skills needed in their future endeavors.
OUR INSTRUCTORS
Our instructors are volunteers from successful tech companies from across South Florida and include junior developers to Chief Technology Officers. Each volunteer completes a background check for your child's safety.
PARENT INVOLVMENT
We request that parents attend the class with their child. Although there will be an instructor, it's always important to have somebody there who can walk the child through instructions and help support to limit frustration and support a fun and educational experience.
VIRTUAL PLATFORM
We use Zoom for all our virtual classes. Once you register, a Zoom link will be sent to you via the confirmation page and reminder email just prior to the event with link. If you and/or your child is not familiar with Zoom, you can familiarize yourself with the platform using this online tutorial. CLICK HERE
