Hello Families, BGC would like to prioritize the age range for this event due to the information that they will learn. This event is open to ages 10-17. Faces of Me – An Interactive Mental Health Workshop

This workshop, led by licensed mental health professionals, introduces participants to topics such as common mental health disorders in youth, suicide, the realization of distress (both subtle and non-subtle), coping strategies, and resources for help. This course also teaches youth how to help their peers in distress. This hands-on workshop involves education, trivia, and self-discovery through various interactive modalities.

Students will need:

A computer and internet connection Agenda:

12:00pm – 12:05pm – Allow time for all participants to join (music will be playing)

12:05pm – 12:10pm – Introduction and Breakout Room Assigned

12:10pm – 1:10pm – Workshop Breakout Room 1 (Ages 10 – 13 -Led by BreAnna Plummer, LLMSW)

12:10pm – 1:10pm – Workshop Breakout Room 2 (Ages 14 – 17 -Led by Kiesha Jackson, LLPC, CCTP)

1:10pm – 1:15pm – Breakout Rooms Close/Participants transition to main room

1:15pm – 1:30pm – Close/Debrief/Survey
