The Department of Education is currently developing a professional learning suite and resource hub to address the feedback from more than 180 Campfire Conversations that informed the Strengthening Aboriginal Self-Determination in Education report. This will build staff capacity in creating culturally safe environments where the diverse and unique identities and experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people are respected and valued.
The professional learning suite will be developed through a co-design process commencing in early October to design the first tranche of 8 modules. This will include targeted co-design workshops for department and community stakeholders to share expertise, perspectives, and lived experiences that will inform the development of modules for the professional learning suite.
You are invited to attend co-design workshops with collaborative discussions and activities to explore concepts and themes of the proposed topics below, sharing knowledge and insights to ensure that the professional learning modules reflect the voices and needs of community.
We look forward to your contribution in this important process.
