While enrolled in Code Chica++, students will:

• Be placed in a vibrant cohort of students that are eager to learn advanced coding, the fundamentals of web development, and engineering to build features on an existing application

• Come eager to learn from industry professionals, and gain valuable networking experience to assist them in the college application process

Information about Code Chica++:

• Dates: August 6th - October 8th (Saturdays)

• Class from: 11AM - 2PM CST online

• This program is available to Code Chica alumni, meaning you have graduated from a previous Code Chica cohort.

• Students may not miss more than one class for the duration of the program. Students must be present for all class days (with the exception of one excused absence) to receive the stipend.

Students will work together with their Instructor and guest speakers that currently work in computer science, engineering, technology development, and more, and will learn fundamentals of development and engineering, to build their own features in teams! In Code Chica++, Chicas will be using the platform GitHub to learn about source control, writing tests, fixing bugs, and other development fundamentals. Throughout the cohort, they will be working in teams to build new features on an existing application. The girls will get to explore roles such as Product Manager, Designer and Engineer in their groups. At the final showcase, the Chicas will present with their teams and demonstrate how they built and developed their features.

This program is FREE, and upon completion of the program, students will receive a $90 stipend and a certificate outlining their accomplishments.
