Talk title: How Joining the Dev Community Changed My Life

Abstract: I spent the first 5 years of my career in tech without attending a single conference or meetup. I didn’t follow any developers on social media either. I was just focused on building a product that I was passionate about during the workday and doing my hobbies like teaching color guard and diamond painting in my free time. So what changed? Honestly, I dove in head first. I was offered a promotion to a few different roles, and I picked Developer Advocate. In this talk, I’ll share the story of putting myself out there in the community and how it changed my life for the better :)

Talk 2

Tobiloba Adedeji, Community Engineer at Million.js

Talk title: Community and Devtooling: Do's and Dont's

Abstract: In this talk, I want to highlight the dynamics around building, managing, and maintaining communities for developer tooling including the 5 key points to help attain what I call "the ideal community”.

Talk 3

Haimantika Mitra, Developer Advocate at Hashnode

Talk title: Building Community Programs

Abstract: Thinking of building a community program for your company? In this talk we will see how you can start planning for it, how to know your audience and what kind of programs to build. We will also tackle the most important question of “How do we scale it?”

Starting time: July 30th, 8AM PT (SF) / 11AM (NYC)
