About the facilitator
Jenn Thom (she/her) is the Director of Qualitative Research at Code for America. She leads a team of qualitative researchers who seek to understand the beliefs, needs, and values of people to develop government services that better and more equitably meet the needs of communities.
Prior to joining Code for America, Jenn built and led mixed-methods research teams that evaluate and prototype state-of-the-art machine learning-driven experiences at Spotify and Amazon. Jenn has a PhD from Cornell University and remains active in the academic research community, with >25 published research papers in top-tier human-computer interaction conferences.
