As part of the inaugural event of the California Institute for Machine Consciousness, we present this special Machine Consciousness Salon in the Internet Archive!
Stephen Wolfram and Joscha Bach will discuss what it would be like to transcend the boundaries of our brains. Is there an upper limit to the useful size of biological brains? Why are elephants not smarter than humans? What representations and perceptions and thoughts became available to us if we were to translate our minds on computers? And if we are looking beyond the boundaries of planets, galaxies and particle filled spacetime continua, is there an effective limit to physical minds?
