Expert workshop: Ethical and legal frameworks for cybersecurity and digital legacies for Generation Alpha. CyberFocus project.
Digital assets include personal photos, videos, and online accounts, while a digital legacy is the online footprint an individual leaves behind. As Generation Alpha (born 2010–2024) is the first generation to experience portable digital devices and social media from early childhood, there is an urgent need to address the knowledge "gap" regarding what happens to this content during life events such as illness or bereavement.
This project, funded by the United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI) CyberFocus Impact Acceleration Account (IAA), aims to co-create "microlearning" educational resources with students to improve their cybersecurity awareness. This workshop will provide important ethical and legal information before formal the research activities commence in schools.
This event is held via Microsoft Teams. Please note that the joining link will be sent to all registered attendees via email after sign-up.
