Come learn why having an understanding of UX design will help your tech career, even if you're a software engineer or data scientist!
About this Event:
You've probably heard of the term "user experience" before but may not know exactly what it is. In this workshop we'll be discussing how to properly conduct user research and why it's so important for every software engineer and data scientist to have a solid understanding of how it works. At its core UX is all about designing for your target audience, knowing their pain points, and establishing what you can do to help them achieve their goals.
User research is the foundation that everything grows from. The overarching themes/ideas that are discovered during this process determine what features get built out on any application, and why they're necessary. If you properly do your research then you'll always know how to make your product better for the next iteration, and continually meet the needs of your user group as those needs change over time.
This workshop is for all aspiring software engineers and data scientists, even if you've never written a single line of code before.
