DevFest 2024: Google Developers Mountain Region Sustainability Hackathon

Description

Join us for a special virtual DevFest event in the Mountain Region!

We'll start the weekend off with some Build with AI workshops to help you develop the skills you'll need to build your app, game, ioT project, etc., related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We'll have some fun group activities and brief info sessions throughout the weekend and prizes for the best application of AI to sustainability.

Day 1

9:00 AM: Tech Talks

An introduction to the hackathon and the Sustainable Development Goals. Also tech talks to help you decide on a project.

12:00 PM: Team formation and project work

Join a team or start planning if you already have a team. Then, get to work on your project!

Day 2

9:00 AM: Group activity

Kick off the day with a fun warmup activity.

9:30 AM: Mini-workshops (optional)

Some topical mini-workshops to help inspire you or help you get unstuck.

12:00 PM: Project work

Keep working on your projects.

Day 3

9:00 AM: Group activity

A fun activity to get the day started.

9:30 AM: Project work

Keep working on your project.

1:00 PM: Project wrap-up

Get your projects ready to submit and demo.

3:00 PM: Demo time

Teams will demo their projects.

4:30 PM: Awards

Awards and prizes!

5:00 PM: End of the hackathon
