Description

The Design Officers Network is a self-organising network comprising anyone involved in any type of design in the built environment who works for or on behalf of a public authority or organisation.

This meeting - the first for many months focuses on the potential for digital technology to support design and planning.

The Design Officers network is open to anyone who:

  • works for a Local Authority, Central Government, a Government Agency, a charity or not for profit, a university.

and

  • is involved in design in the built environment: urban design | highways | engineering | environment | public health | community development | architectue | planning | conservation | leisure | landscape | regeneration | waste management | utilities | lighting | parks and so on...

The focus is primarily on the UK, but people from other countries are very welcome to join.

 

The purpose of the Design Officers Network is to aid the free exchange of knowledge among public sector organisations, and the sharing of propblems and solutions in an friendly and supportive environment.
