We’re excited to announce the launch of the next round of CivTech Challenges in summer 2025 and invite public and third-sector organisations to explore how they can get involved.

For those who are new to CivTech, it’s an accelerator program established by the Scottish Government in 2016. Our mission is to improve public services and drive economic growth by connecting public sector organisations with innovative companies to develop solutions. CivTech offers a collaborative approach and up to 75% match funding to create impactful solutions.

At CivTech, we believe in the power of innovation to tackle some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time, including the climate crisis and biodiversity loss. Our Innovate for Nature initiative, launched in partnership with NatureScot at COP27 in 2022, has sparked collaboration throughout CivTech rounds 8, 9, and 10. Through this initiative, we’ve brought together a range of public and third-sector organisations, demonstrating the power of collaboration. For CivTech 11, we’re looking for community-focused challenges that encourage collective action to address environmental issues at both local and national levels.

We welcome participants from the public and third sectors, particularly those working in organisations or fields focused on environmental objectives—whether you're seeking innovative solutions or leading organisational change.
