AI is here to stay. Now what? Confused about the basics? What kinds of tools are out there? How could you be using them… and should you? Join us as our panelists share their expertise and help authors navigate these technical and ethical challenges.

Vera Chan

A journalism veteran, published author and aspiring novelist, Vera Chan has had a front-row seat at the world’s largest online destinations. At Yahoo!, Vera worked on U.S. and global editorial projects as audiences shifted media consumption habits to online. At Microsoft, her jobs included News Labs which partnered with small and large newsrooms to find tech solutions for storytelling and workflow and MSN to advocate for top-tier North America media partners in distribution and AI experimentation. She has just joined start-up agency Steelwork as Director, News and Media.

William Bruce Johnson

In over four decades of working in computer technology, Bruce published a dozen non-fiction books that helped thousands of software developers build the websites that people complain about. Pivoting to writing thrillers, he has published his first short story, published in the Invasive Species anthology. He is currently querying his first novel while working on his next.

Reece Hirsch

Reece Hirsch is the Thriller Award-nominated author of six thrillers that draw upon his background as a privacy attorney. Reece is the co-head of the privacy and security practice of an international law firm, and frequently advises clients and speaks about AI issues.
