Description

Impact State of Mind is NYC's grassroots UNGA side event about Climate Action and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals!(SDGs)

About this event

Impact State of Mind is a 3-day UNGA side event at the intersection of Climate Action and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Climate Change is the greatest challenge of our generation, but it's not the only one! We are organizing this event because we believe we have a responsibility to help advance efforts to combat climate while also taking into account the many other urgent issues that demand our attention now!

From decarbonizing cities to social justice, impact investing to health and cannabis, climate education to global governance - we need to get real about what it takes to improve people and planet simultaneously.

Impact State of Mind brings together local and global innovators to explore various intersections through co-creation, fire-side chats, panels, and networking. Our partners bring together a mix of sessions that leverage their deep and authentic experiences, while engaging audiences to magnify impact.

Each day of the event has it's own theme, and have their own free tickets/registration:

  • Wednesday, September 21st: "Building An African Innovation Ecosystem in NY," half-day event focusing on connecting NY and Africa's innovation communities to advance the SDGs (visit this page to get your ticket here.
  • Thursday, September 22nd: "Impact State of Mind - Climate Action x SDGs" A full-day of local and global content on taking action on climate and advancing the SDGs (get your ticket on this page)
  • Friday, September 23rd: "Culinary Action! On the Road" A food innovation round table and pitch competition in partnership with the Basque Culinary Center. Fill out this form to register.

Impact State of Mind is a free event for you! Whether you're an entrepreneur, investor, nonprofit, social innovator, corporate, advocate, student, in town for the UNGA, or just curious and open to helping solve the greatest challenges of our generation.

The innovation community in New York suffered during the COVID19 pandemic, and we see the need to bring people into the same room to exchange, learn, and build new partnerships that advance bold visions for the future that improve lives and protect the environment.

We invite you to be a part of this journey because we believe in the importance of bringing together both the relentless communities of grass-root innovators transforming the city and the global rainmakers who stream into New York every year, creating opportunities and synergies that don’t happen within the closed walls of the UN.

Food and Beverage:

Non-alcoholic beverages provided, food and alcohol for sale.
