Jason Wesson - Software Engineer II, 2U
Prior to becoming a software engineer, Jason was a 6th grade science teacher who knew very little about programming before deciding to host a coding club for his students. When he resigned from teaching in October 2020, he decided to pursue the career that always felt out of reach by starting Hack Reactor's free basic prep for their 12-week software engineering immersive. Since graduating in the summer of 2021, Jason has been mentoring people who are trying to make a shift in their careers. His work at 2U is focused on the Credentials and Profile pages of edX, an education platform that adult learners across the world have used to learn the skills that can improve their careers and life.
