About this event
The Longhorn Impact Fellowship at Texas, or LIFT, pairs student consultants with corporations, social enterprises, and nonprofits to help solve a sustainability-related challenge. Project topics are based in sustainable finance, corporate sustainability, impact innovation, and sustainability communications. Past projects created solutions for a wide range of issues, such as:
Interdisciplinary teams of up to 5 students, both undergraduate and graduate, work with the clients an average of 5 hours a week for 12 weeks. Throughout this time, consultants are given support through online materials, a faculty advisor, and workshops from GSLI staff and industry experts. LIFT is selective and is open only to UT-Austin juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Clients have access to student applications and have an active role in selecting their consultants.
LIFT consultant applications for Fall 2022 will open on April 29th, 2022 and will be due on July 15th. Contact our Program Manager, Madison Gove, at madison.gove@mccombs.utexas.edu with questions.
