Have you ever wondered how an airport works, how people can buy things using a phone, or how technology helps keep premature babies safe?
In this free 45‑minute webinar, you and your KS2 pupils will meet John, a Computing Ambassador and problem‑solving technologist with years of experience at IBM. John designs big systems that help solve complicated real‑world problems—from building safer aeroplanes to helping scientists find new medicines to understanding huge amounts of data. He’ll show how technology links to almost everything around us.
After the presentation, pupils will have the chance to ask their own questions. These will be submitted through the webinar chat, and the host will select a range for John to answer live.
This event is for students accompanied by their teacher(s).
Bookings must be made by teachers. Only 1 ticket per group is needed.
This event is organised by the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) supported by Computing Ambassadors.
