Description

The world's largest hackathon is back! 2025 is the 12th anniversary that NASA ISAC is held in Boston!

This year’s theme: The Sun Touches Everything - Celebrating the Influence of the Sun. Mark your calendars for October 4th and 5th, 2025, and join us in exploring the Sun’s vast influence on our lives. International Space Apps Challenge (ISAC) is the largest hackathon in the world. It is commissioned by NASA to get citizens to collaborate on its mission directives. NASA ISAC 2025 Boston will be entirely virtual this year and will take place on October 4th, 10:00 am (ET)- October 5th, 5 pm (ET).

Why Join?

Each year, participants are challenged with finding real-world solutions to today’s biggest challenges. The hackathon collaborates with leading Space Agencies globally. In 2024, using open data from NASA and partner Space Agencies, participants tackled 20 challenges and produced 9,996 projects addressing Earth and Space Problems.

  • Connect with a Global Community: The Boston chapter takes pride in collaborating closely with the Consulate General of Japan in Boston since 2014.
  • Tackle Real-World Problems: With open data from NASA and its Space Agency partners, dive in with creativity and an open mindset to develop new solutions that might be used by companies and space agencies in the future.
  • Challenge Yourself, Grow with a Team: Collaborate with fellow participants, team up with others, and get guidance from experts. Even if you’ve never joined a hackathon or you’re not a coding wizard, be sure to sign up. Everyone’s welcome!

If you’re passionate about problem-solving, your place is here.
