Description

Join OCASI and Tech Safety Canada for an interactive webinar to learn more about supporting survivors in navigating tech abuse.

OCASI's Initiative to End GBV invites you to a webinar led by Tech Safety Canada on Tuesday, December 2nd from 1:00 - 3:00 PM EST.

What to expect from this webinar:

Technology is increasingly misused to cause harm in intimate partner violence, stalking, and harassment. From smartphones to smart homes, the tools we rely on every day can be misused to exert control. In this 2-hour webinar, participants will gain an overview of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) and explore how digital tools are used to monitor, control, and intimidate survivors.

Through real-world examples and practical guidance, this session will highlight how anti-violence workers can support survivors in identifying tech-based abuse, enhance safety planning, and preserve digital evidence. Whether you're new to this topic or looking to strengthen your response, this training will equip participants with knowledge and resources to better support survivors in navigating tech-based abuse.

About Tech Safety Canada:
