Description

Collaborate with code officials, builders, & energy experts to streamline compliance, share insights & prepare for future energy codes.

Join us for the 2025 San Diego Regional Energy Code Forum, co-hosted by the California Energy Commission (CEC) and the City of San Diego, bringing together code officials, builders, designers, and industry partners to collaborate on improving energy code compliance.

This one-day forum will feature training for building department staff, interactive discussions, and practical tools to help streamline processes, reduce project delays, and strengthen coordination between the construction industry, code development agencies and enforcement agencies. We will be joined by guest presenters, the California Energy Alliance, who will give a presentation on best practices for acceptance testing compliance in nonresidential and multifamily buildings.

Whether you’re a builder looking to simplify compliance, a designer navigating new code requirements, or an enforcement professional seeking consistent practices, this forum will gather actionable insights and connections to help you succeed.

Key Topics Include:

  • Training on the California Energy Code: major updates in 2025 and nonresidential performance verification with guest presenters
  • Addressing common compliance challenges
  • Building stronger partnerships across jurisdictions and industry
  • Preparing for upcoming code updates and training opportunities

Who Should Come:
We recommend building department staff attend the first two morning sessions. The builder roundtable session in the afternoon is recommended for builders, mechanical and electrical sub-contractors, designers, code officials, acceptance test technician certification providers (ATTCP), acceptance test technicians (ATT), energy consultants, and anyone involved in energy code compliance in the San Diego region.
