About this Event
The Silicon Valley Green Team Network is comprised of volunteer representatives and sustainability professionals from a company or organization who strive to increase sustainability within their workplace.
SVGTN’s Spring Forum will be sponsored by Plan C Advisors. Plan C is a Bay Area based consultancy that equips business leaders to drive climate action in their organizations. Their team is comprised of current and former board directors and C Suite executives who bring deep expertise in climate/ESG/sustainability and broad experience across industries. Plan C places particular emphasis on engaging the entire enterprise in understanding and participating in climate action, with a particular focus on board directors.
One of Plan C’s core tenets is that learnings from different companies and industries may be applied across sectors to help leaders “think different” about how they can approach climate action in a way that leads to the best outcomes for their companies and for the planet. We expect you will come out of this Forum with fresh ideas on how to make climate progress in your organizations.
Amanda North, founder/CEO of Plan C , will start the Forum with a keynote that provides a holistic framework for organizational climate action:
- Creating a common understanding around climate change
- Understanding the full suite of risks that organizations face
- Exploring value creation opportunities
- Galvanizing the entire enterprise to engage in climate action
- Communicating and collaborating with stakeholders
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with select Plan C Advisors sharing their own experiences dealing with these topics throughout their corporate careers. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panel before breaking into small groups to discuss how their organizations can and are pursuing these topics.
