Description

An introduction to NFTs and how creatives, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits can make practical use of the technological landscape.

About this Event

Everyone is talking about NFTs and the blockchain, but what does it mean, and how can you be leveraging these latest technologies to grow and engage your audience? We've got you covered in this workshop. You'll learn:

  • The basics of blockchain and NFTs, and how they apply to your work
  • Entering the metaverse and how to build communities you can leverage
  • Tips for marketing your NFTs and other offerings
  • The ethical considerations of this technological space, and how it can be used for social change

You'll also receive tools for minting your first NFT and, as an added bonus, get to connect with creative entrepreneurs from all around the world and tap into #CultureFix's existing resource sharing network.

About #CultureFix

CultureFix is a global collaborative network of artists, creative entrepreneurs, and change makers who use their platforms for social impact. We believe in the power of arts, in cross-border collaborations, and in supporting each other’s movements.

About the Facilitators

Natalie Crue is a cultural organizer who specialized in cross-platform community building. She has been active in the NFT space since before it was a trending topic. Most recently, she has been working on Rare Pizzas, a collectible NFT project that gives away free pizza to people.

Nora Rahimian is a creative consultant who helps creative entrepreneurs achieve success on their terms, without giving up creative control, financial freedom, or personal integrity. She was named one of iStandard's Women Who Run The Music Industry, is a UNAOC Fellow, and facilitates collaborations for artists all over the world. She produces music festivals and has been holding virtual space since the days of hip hop message boards.

Brave Space Commitment

CultureFix is committed to creating a safe, open, and supportive environment that is conducive to our collective learning and growth. Anyone unable to contribute to creating a safe space will be removed from the webinar at the host’s discretion.
