Social Impact Discovery Series (Part 1 of Two-Part Event)

Description

This workshop is Part 1 of a Two-Part Event focused on helping participants create their own social impact portfolio.

About this Event

This is a two part event. In Part 1, taking place on January 24, 2021 participants will be provided an overview of the social impact space, learn how to identify issues that matter to them and scope their areas of influence. They will then work on a personal assessment to identify their passions, values and the resources (skills, time and resources) they have available and want to invest in their social impact portfolio. Participants will leave the event with a personal social impact statement that will help drive their action. Part 2 of the event will take place on February 21, 2021 and will focus on identifying, assessing and creating organizations that further participants’ social impact statement and goals. We will also consider follow-up tracks on how participants can join an organization (including transitioning from the private sector), volunteer, engage their own companies or join a board. This event is appropriate for professionals in all stages of their careers and various stages of their social impact journeys. While event content will be applicable to all audiences, we will look at social impact through a South Asian lens as well.

This invitation and registration is for Part 1 of the two-part event. Please register separately for Part 1 & 2.

This is an online event. Registered guests will receive the Zoom link on the day of the event.

This event will be moderated by Neythri's Social Impact Committee and Room to Read staff.
