Description

Join the Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) on November 12, 2026 for Tech Prom, CDT’s signature celebration and fundraiser that brings together the top leaders and innovators in tech policy from government, industry, and civil society. More than an ordinary social gathering, Tech Prom convenes the minds that will shape the next decade of tech and AI policy.

To solve our biggest challenges, we need everyone — companies, regulators, and civil society — to be part of the solution. And bringing people together is what this night is all about.

By sponsoring Tech Prom, you are positioning your organization as a central player in the effort to ensure technology works for people. Your sponsorship provides the critical resources necessary for CDT to continue our non-partisan advocacy, research, and analysis on building a tech future that works for all. For the fourth year, we’re presenting an exclusive, one-night-only art exhibition exploring the ways technology and automated systems are being experienced and understood. This year we’ll feature the thoughtful, timely work of Michael McDermott, entitled Undeleted.

McDermott’s Undeleted challenges viewers to consider the expanse of data we leave behind, even in places we think no one will look. Across dozens of old phones purchased in bulk, Undeleted extracts and indexes a curated array of photos, text messages, search histories, locations, cookies, contacts, and more. Displayed in interactive and print formats, this installation is poignant in a moment where fears around consumer privacy, the proliferation of data brokers, government surveillance and government data consolidation are rising.
