Transition to a Career in Tech

Ready to ditch the old grind and jump into the tech world? Let’s make that career switch happen!

You don't have to start your career over to start a career in technology.

A move into tech can look different for everyone. Some people are coming from another industry, while others have experience that could transfer into a technology role but aren't sure how to make that connection. The challenge is often figuring out where your existing skills fit and what you need to add.

Transition To A Career In Tech takes a practical look at that process.

We'll talk about how to:

• Identify skills from your current career that can transfer to tech
• Explore technology roles that may fit your experience and interests
• Build a resume that connects your background to a new career direction
• Create projects or a portfolio that demonstrate what you can do
• Approach interviews when your previous experience isn't directly in IT
• Figure out what skills or training may help you take the next step

You don't need to have everything figured out before making a career change. Understanding where your current experience fits can be a good place to start.
