You won't get a better chance to get 1:1 time with some of the most interesting innovators in central Texas, so bring your questions and get ready to discuss ideas and grow your companies and projects.

Media Innovation: Digital Trends in Information Sharing and Storytelling

The world of media has experienced vast change over the past twenty years. Developments in multimedia, social media, data and artificial intelligence are influencing the ways information is shared and stories are told. Media professionals need new skills and perspectives to be successful. This panel will discuss the future of innovation in media and how media is transforming business practices.

Panelists include:

Ashley Hebler manages the engineering team at Texas Tribune, the non-profit news organization covering the politics of Texas.

Sean O’Keefe leads innovation and design for CODE Éxitos, a digital product development studio in Austin.

Jon Zmikly senior lecturer leading the Digital Media Innovation program in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The panel will be moderated by Cindy Royal, professor and director of the Media Innovation Lab in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication
