INFORM Assistive Tech

Suzanne is currently the research officer at Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance leading a project on transition to adulthood for those with DMD. She has SMA type II. Suzanne lives in an apartment with her husband and has a care package to support her needs. She also enjoys going out for walks and loves dogs almost as much she loves a good cup of tea!

Suzanne's home is equipped with environmental controls using Amazon's Alexa. She also uses eye gaze technology to help her access the computer. During the session she will share her experience of accessing funding for this tech and her tips on making it as useful as possible.

Suzanne will discuss her experiences and then there will be time for a Q&A.
