Synopsis:

Across the world naval shipbuilding is in midst of a resurgence, NATO Countries and their allies are replacing existing ships and increasing their fleet numbers, however a variety factors within and without their control will affect the design of these future naval warships. This presentation will touch on some of these aspects looking toward to their impact on the design of Naval Platforms.

 

Bio:

Dr Malcolm Robb, Engineering Manager, responsible for the Afloat Capability Theme of the Naval Ships Research and Technology Department at BAE Systems Naval Ships. He has worked at Naval Ships for the past 24 years in a variety of roles in Concept Design and Research and Technology.
