In this session, we’ll explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can be used as Assistive Technology (AT) to support students with disabilities. After a brief overview of policies impacting AT, we’ll dive into practical examples of how AI can help students with communication, executive functioning, reading, writing, and more. We’ll also highlight considerations around privacy, policy, and IEP team decision-making—ensuring the use of AI tools remains individualized, data-driven, and legally compliant.
