AI is quickly becoming ubiquitous in all industries. Unfortunately, even though AI can be incredibly harmful, few organizations act to ensure that their AI is safe and beneficial.
Against this backdrop, Women in AI is organizing the Global Responsible AI Hackathon.
The goal of this hackathon is to help organizations act to make their AI more responsible. To that end, individuals and teams will be invited to create proofs of concept for increasing the implementation of responsible AI practices.
The event has three components:
- 3-day Hackathon, June 2023: Participants will finalize their proofs of concept. The format is hybrid. There will be virtual events for everyone, and regional leaders will organize in-person events in their regions.
- Supporting Events, February-June, 2023: Workshops, masterclasses, and check-ins for hackathon participants.
- Supporting Resources, February-June, 2023: Mentors and vendors will provide free support to participants.

We are looking for additional sponsors, partners, and volunteers:
Funders - Make a financial contribution to cover prizes and event expenses
Vendors - Provide free access to services to support hackathon participants
Regional Leaders - Lead an in-person hackathon in a region of your choosing
Mentors - Provide mentorship to hackathon participants
Judges - Participate in the selection of winners
Speakers - Deliver content to help prepare participants for the hackathon
Researchers - Conduct research to support responsible AI based on hackathon activities
Volunteers - Help run the hackathon and surrounding events
