About This Role

As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for IT budget and costs, along with a comprehensive suite of IT services including Microsoft Azure administration, Snowflake administration, Office 365 management, Atlassian Suite, cybersecurity, network operations, telecommunications, and help desk support. 

You will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's technological infrastructure and ensuring cost-effective and efficient IT operations. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for managing various IT functions, optimizing cloud platforms, enhancing productivity tools, facilitating collaboration, securing digital assets, maintaining network integrity, supporting communication systems, and providing exceptional help desk support to end-users. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset.

 

Essential Functions:

  • IT Budget and Cost Management:
    1. Develop and oversee the IT budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, resource requirements, and cost optimization strategies.
    2. Monitor IT expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to optimize IT spending while maximizing value and efficiency.
    3. Collaborate with the DTech Director and finance department to track expenses, forecast future costs, and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Azure Administration:
    1. Develop and execute strategies for the organization's Azure cloud environment, encompassing infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) offering.
    2. Architect, deploy, and manage Azure services and solutions to support business operations, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
    3. Monitor Azure resources, optimize performance, and implement robust security measures to protect data and applications hosted in the Azure cloud.
  • Snowflake Administration:
    1. Manage and administer the Snowflake data platform.
    2. Configure and optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, and data governance compliance.
    3. Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure efficient data processing, modeling, and analysis on the Snowflake platform.
  • Productivity Tool Management:
    1. Oversee the administration and maintenance of Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and other productivity tools.
    2. Configure Office 365 services to meet business requirements, manage user accounts and permissions, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
    3. Collaborate with business units to leverage SharePoint Online for document management, collaboration, and workflow automation.
    4. Manage and administer Zoom video conferencing and collaboration platform, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among remote and distributed teams.
    5. Administer the Atlassian Suite for project management, issue tracking, and documentation management, facilitating efficient project workflows and team collaboration.
    6. Provide user training and support to maximize productivity and utilization of Zoom and Jira Suite applications.
  • Cybersecurity Oversight:
    1. Lead cybersecurity efforts to protect the organization's IT assets from cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance risks.
    2. Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
    3. Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and incident response exercises to identify and address security weaknesses.
  • Network and Telecommunications Management:
    1. Manage the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks, to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
    2. Oversee telecommunications systems, including voice, video, and conferencing solutions, to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
    3. Evaluate network and telecommunications technologies, recommend upgrades or enhancements, and implement solutions to meet business needs.
  • Help Desk Operations:
    1. Lead the help desk team in providing timely and effective technical support to end-users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and IT services.
    2. Establish service level agreements and key performance indicators (KPIs) for help desk support, monitoring performance metrics to ensure quality service delivery.
    3. Implement incident management processes and tools to streamline ticket resolution and improve end-user satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Expertise in Office 365, Azure cloud services, Snowflake data platform, and network/telecommunication technologies.
  • Strong technical skills in cyber security, including threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing and motivating staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing IT challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management role, with a focus on budgeting, Office 365 administration, Microsoft Azure administration, Snowflake administration, network and telecommunication administration, cyber security, and helpdesk management. Previous working capacity in a leadership role is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and data platforms.
  • Extensive experience in network and telecommunication systems management, including security and performance optimization.
  • Strong experience in implementing and managing cyber security measures and protocols.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time, exempt position. As a Full-Time, Exempt employee you are not eligible for overtime. Hours of operation will depend on what you and your supervisor agree to. Must have flexibility in schedule during extended business hours allowing stakeholders to access services. From time to time, the IT Infrastructure Manager may be expected to participate in Union activities outside of normal business hours, including weekends and after-hours.
  • This position is 75% remote, 25% at HQ Seattle. The position is normally required to be in the office at least two (2) days weekly, or when needed (based on business needs). Department Director has the ability to depict work schedules.   

 

Compensation:

Providing current or previous salary information is optional and will not be factored into hiring decisions. Prospective Employees covered by the CBA can request a copy of the wage scale, the CBA, and any current relevant MOUs upon application to the position.

This position is full-time, exempt. This position is not included in the Bargaining Unit. Pay ranges from $111,042 – $138,676 per year. Benefits include vacation, holiday, and sick leave benefits, fully employer paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance, defined benefit pension plan, and optional 401(k), WFH credit, and more.
