Role Description
Identify customers' interests and concerns to translate customer needs into a quantifiable
framework and ensure successful delivery of product development and associated system
components.
Duties will include:
1. Partner with Commercial Operations and Battery Product Management teams to analyze
and identify specific opportunities for our multi-day energy storage product;
2. Liaise with customers about their business needs, systems, and pain points to provide a
quantifiable engineering framework for our product development;
3. Utilize complex data, power market expertise, and modeling tools to determine project
configurations for specific customer applications;
4. Quantify and communicate product value and recommendations for improvements to our
products;
5. Design and create critical data-driven pitches to communicate the value of our products
to current and future customers;
6. Prototype new and existing suites and tools to scope and build new tools to uncover and
deliver customer value; and
7. Collect and organize large data sets; run extensive quantitative analyses to address
complex questions; and present complex results to senior management and commercial
analytics teams.
May telecommute part of the week from commuting distance to the Berkeley, CA office per our hybrid work policy.
Position Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Analytics, or any quantitative
STEM field, followed by 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a business intelligence or
data analysis-related occupation.
Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently:
1) 2 years of experience performing large-scale energy data analysis;
2) 2 years of experience assessing clean energy asset valuation;
3) 2 years of experience with financial modeling of energy assets and utilities;
4) 2 years of experience working with energy systems or performing grid modeling with
commercially available models, such as AURORA or PLEXOS; and
5) 2 years of experience synthesizing data for external parties or customers.
