Associate Director, Data Analytics
The Movement Cooperative · Remote (US)
Organizational Overview
Do you want to ensure that progressive organizations have access to the best possible data, technology, and technical expertise? We know movement organizing and advocacy are more urgent than ever and many organizations and activists cannot easily access the tools to scale their work.
Launched in 2018, The Movement Cooperative (TMC) is a nonprofit founded with the aim of creating a cooperative community addressing these structural challenges. Currently, our membership stands at nearly 80 national member organizations, 13 state-based member organizations, and over 1400 affiliate member organizations covered under our licenses. We leverage the collective purchasing power of our membership to secure cooperatively held data and technology licenses shared across membership and invest in common infrastructure like technical staff to support our members in their work. TMC is a member cooperative -- our board is primarily elected by and made up of representatives from our member organizations.
Position Overview
TMC membership gives organizations full access to our data warehouse and analytics platform and unlimited access to national voter/consumer files along with a wealth of other communal data resources. The Data & Technology department is the key to making the large amount of data available through TMC accessible and digestible to these organizations. The Data Analytics team within the D&T department provides data analysis and insights into the member’s work so that they can make data-driven decisions. Data Analysts provide data strategy expertise to members so they can make the most of the data resources and research available to them via their TMC membership.
The Associate Director leading the Data Analytics team will work closely with the Director of Data & Technology to ensure Data Analysts can provide quality service to TMC members via data visualizations, analysis, data strategy, and data program best practices so members understand their data and how to use it to inform their work.
The Associate Director, Data Analytics will report directly to the Director, Data & Technology.
